International Youth Day (IYD) is an awareness day designated by the United Nations. The motive of the day is to draw awareness to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding youth. The first International Youth Day was observed on 12th August, 2000.


We have a powerful potential in our youth, and we must have the courage to change old ideas and practices so that we may direct their power toward good ends.
